About Me!

I am a new author who has spent an entire life in love with the written word. I was born in Florida, and have lived in a small town in Tennessee (Manchester - famous now for Bonnaroo) for over 20 years. I currently live about 30 miles away from Manchester outside of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Just head straight up I-24 heading to Nashville and you can't miss it. My innate love for reading has blossomed into a love for writing complex and flawed characters who happen to find that person who is imperfect, but perfect for them.

Scent of Lavender is my first novel in the Scent of Love Series. It is a new contemporary romance with erotic elements. I like to write about women in middle age who have experienced life - the good, bad, and the ugly - and are now finding themselves and the men who would love them.

I'm an eccentric person according to my friends and family. I love history (American and World - but since I'm American, I am a tad partial), and doing family history research. I'm the computer geek in my family. I love to read, write, and photography. I was I had the ability and time to travel more and see all those places I have read about for some many years.

My music tastes run across the board, so do my reading and movie tastes. However, I am partial to Disney movies, esp. those old 60s-70s ones like Pete's Dragon, North Avenue Irregulars, Apple Dumpling Gang, Ugly Dachshund, and Freaky Friday. I grew up in South Florida and spent a lot of time with my family camping at Fort Wilderness at Disney World. If you can remember Disney's first waterpark, River Country, and had fun playing there like I did then we will get along great. ;) I guess if I was completely honest, then I would admit that I'm a Disney geek, Disney nerd, Disneyphile, or any other term for those who are true lovers of Disney and everything related to Uncle Walt's ideas and passion for families and fun.

I have a grown daughter and was your typical nerdy band girl in high school. I was that wallflower that tried really hard just to fade into the background. I live by myself and it's nice to finally be able to write down and put out the stories that I have carried around in my overactive imagination for years. It's nice to share them with others and I hope you enjoy them.

Remember, romance and love are different for each person and each couple. You have to learn your language of love and find that person who understands your language better than anyone else. That is the fun part of the journey and once you find them, it's just the beginning, then you can enjoy the trip.
